This Is Me

I want to exist in the corners,
Wish to see my life from a 3d view,
Rustle around in known place like foreigners,
Hoping my disguise would carry me through.

Why do I want this?
I don't know.
This is me,
That's all I know.

One, Two and turn, elegantly roam like the knight,
And suddenly disappear like Houdini with a sleight.
To move all around with nothingness,
Jumping off from the fence of pretense.

Being stuck somewhere in between the line,
Wanting to rise and shine.
Yet to not care a damn about this world,
Lying on a hammock,reading a book,all curled.

I shut my eyes and I see stars that shine bright,
Sleep empowers and sweetly kisses me good night.
Paving way to a kaleidoscope of patterns in my mind,
Waking up to a morning with no thoughts left behind.

Why do I want this?
I don't know.
This is me,
That's all I know...

A Love Story

Let me tell you a love story
A legendary tale full of elan and glory.
She's a girl in a pretty pink gown,
He's her prince charming from tinsel town.
What happens 'Jab They Met'?
On each other their eyes are set.
Their fluttering heart beats out of control,
A home run, a kick,a score,a goal!!
In slow motion the wind blows her hair,
Cupid strikes love is in the air.
From the corner of her eye she steals a glance,
Imagines them together doing ball dance.
Oops!!Dancing on street;stumbles,she trips,
She gasps! Her hand he firmly grips.
I won't let you fall my lady,
Falling for her slow and steady.
And begins the saga of incomprehensible talks,
Round and round the aimless walks.
Inseparable they are like the moth from flame,
Saxophones and guitar play in background they claim.
Each others sentences they unknowing complete ,
A look at each other & their heart skips a beat.
Beneath the starry skies he holds her hand,
Promises enclosed in a golden band.
And down he goes on bended wobbly knees,
A ring in hand,"Will You Marry Me Please"?
She says "YES" & he leans in for a kiss,
A slap on the back, something is amiss!!
Working from home, drooling on the table,
It's her husband not the prince from the fable.
A friendly slap and shes jolted into reality,
The side effect of work and it's cruelty.
He's concerned, "Any Thing Wrong My Dear"!?
"Nothing My Prince Charming,Come Sit Near".
And so they open their laptops and work together ,
Aiyyo !! So romantic, perfect!nothing could be better!!!!! :P

DISCLAIMER : All the above mentioned situation and characters are totally a work of creative fiction :) Any resemblance to anyone is totally coincidental :P !!!!!

Again & Yet Again

My City Mumbai....Is Hit By Blasts Yet Again...Innocent Lives Lost...For How Long Do We Tolerate These Attacks.. Try To Move On...Again & Again Old Wounds Are Scratched

The city which gives a second chance......
Where hope springs from the dead's grave.
'Terror' tagging along as the city's bride,
Justice is what we crave.
Everytime regaining the lost pride.
A mokery of our patience,
A slap on our face,
Yet we tolerate the nonsence,
The government stumbles in the haze.
The city which gives a second chance.......

Chimera Or Reality...

Dreams whisper only what you know,
The idea foments to slowly grow.
Subconscious mind knocks on the door,
Seamless thoughts begin to pour.
You are transported to a distant land,
Ruminate on the footprints left on sand.
The very thought you wish to avoid,
Crawls in, sucks you in a void.
Nothing but a matter less extension of your soul,
Unintentionally, mind takes in full control.
Facing the things that scare you the most,
Cold hand of fear grips you like a ghost.
Jumping with sudden delight,
Screaming with numb icy fright.
Head on collision with your innermost desire,
Truth unravels sans any fancy attire.
Mysterious happenings all around,
The dream leaves you spellbound.
Reasoning takes in a different angle,
No longer bounded between crevices of a triangle.
A memoir feeling of a déjà vu,
A moment lived from a different view.
A sudden fall from a candy floss cloud,
You feel claustrophobic in crowd.
Suddenly you dream of a ray of hope,
Tough times you wish to cope.
Standing under the starry chameleon sky,
The divine feeling of the dreamy eye.
What if this life is a dream?
If things are not as they seem?
A dream within dream as in ‘Inception’,
A figment of subliminal imagination.
May be that’s what happens when we die,
In some other world we open our eyes.

Moments....

A moment of truth,
A moment of comfort,
A moment of happiness,
A moment of inspiration
A moment of anguish,
A moment of trust,
A moment of temptation,
A moment of sin,
A moment of emptiness,
A moment of frustration,
A moment of shock,
A moment of lust,
A moment of separation,
A moment of care
A moment of pain,
A moment of infatuation,
A moment of guilt,
A moment of longing,
A moment of passion
A moment of anger,
A moment of sorrow,
A moment of attraction,
A moment of hope,
A moment of silence,
A moment of desperation
A moment of ecstasy
A moment of tear,
A moment of exasperation,
A moment of relief,
A moment of fear,
A moment of attraction
A moment of helplessness,
A moment of spontaneity,
A moment of chaos,
A moment of awkwardness,
A moment of insanity,
A moment of tranquility,
A moment of love,
A moment of breath,
A moment of death,

MOMENTS that last forever,
MOMENTS that vanish,
MOMENTS make up LIFE
MOMENTS disappear from LIFE.

Work Anthem

Wake, Go to work, Come home to sleep,
The quagmire where I stepped my feet.
Every morning the alarm rattles my head,
With sleepy puffy eyes,I snuggle up in bed.
Atta go girl, its a new day I say,
Something exciting may be jogging along my way.
I could be the editor of a sauve magazine,
Or a counsellor for dole hearted teens.
But nay!!Darn! the stupid alarm rings again,
Just when I was dreaming to write like Jugular vein.
I saunter in a semi consious state,
Hit the showers lest I become late.
I just cant afford to miss the shuttle,
To be left commuting at the speed of turtle.
Approximately 850 hrous of travelling a year,
It takes 9 hours to reach the moon, even that seems near.
Ok,great achievement!!destination reached,
Admist office walls that are bleached.
Even Jules Verne went around the world in 80 days,
That's atleast more interesting than moving around these bays.
Just the beginning of a marathon inning,
Ten hours to kill without grinning.
The day begins with breakfast and tea,
All set to work with ears glued to MP3.
The atmosphere slowly becomes murk,
When with all dedication I set to work.
As work keeps on piling more and more,
I yearn to sleep and blissfully snore.
A ping to confederates in the same predicament,
Towards the breakout we march in mutual consent.
We thrive on caffeine and latest gossips,
Munching our way through potato chips.
Alas,I just sit and warm the couch,
Experience protruding itself in paunch!!
Staring at the monitor as though its my significant one,
Continuing like this, would definitely become a nun.
Somewhere in between,I am transported to a dreamy land,
Like Thinking about Bryan Adams my favorite band.
To roam in a fairytale midst dungeons and dragons,
Zapped to the present to hear all jargons.
Slowing and steadily the clock eventually strikes six,
Happiness spreads within as though high on felicis felix.
If its a Friday,a smile is glued on everyones face,
The weekend fires away at super sonic pace.
And again I am back to Monday, that day of week,
PMS (Post monday syndrome) kicks in making me think all oblique.
Phsycology students analysing human behaviour can here run amock,
As behavioural patterns of people change around the clock.
The nerons in my brain are fizzling out,
The jongleur getting lost betwixt the rout.
A black hole sucking all the chirpiness,
Replaced with new release of sarcasm and laziness.

It's Just ME

I was awake,
At the daybreak.
Yet my vision was opaque,
I just didn’t want to wake,
Maybe i got up by mistake,
But so was not the case.

I had to go out,
My heart wanted to remain within the confines,
I sauntered amongst people,
Yet i was alone.
I blend well with amass of people,
As well, remain immune to the chaotic ambience,
Wandering in pursuit of my thoughts,
They bring happiness which can’t be bought.

I can’t remain aloof, yet i love my solitary
Sometimes i find solace in crowd
Yet occasionally, i am lost in a crowd!
My life revolves in closed circular ring,
People for whom i care, enclosed within
They act as oxygen when i breathe in.
Inside these priceless endless circled ring,
Trust, hope and true love will always cling.

Happenings in the surrounding affects me,
But i know i cant set everyone free.
I have many dreams.
Some serious, some trivial, some juvenile.
I know i will turn them true,
Some, a figment of my imagination,
The child within wants them to come true.

I want to perforate the clouds,
Give them a feel of being stippled with silver.
It's the rainbow i want to surf through,
Stand at the point where sky kisses the horizon,
Feel the sun rise and set, yet somewhere far,
Watch the sinking sun paint the sky orangish gold,
Slowly watch the blanket of stars enfold.
Increases your faith in creator by manifold.

The True Vision

As I sat on the sea shore,
Watching the tides rise and ebb,
Somehow a feeling of gloom enclosed,
Life seemed to be heading in no way.
Looking for 'What' behind the perfect door,
Entangled in a self spun web,
In mundane tasks blissfully engrossed,
The mechanical clocks tick in melancholy in each day.

I am pulled out of the slumber,
As mirthful laugh fills my ears,
My eyes wander in direction of sound,
To find two kids building sand castle.
Humming to tunes in cheerful numbers,
Not bothering to look as I draw near,
It didn't look breathtakingly astound,
Yet there was happiness in those eyes so hazel.

The castle was the opposite of beautiful,
Just a lump of moist sand,
Topped with flowers that had wilted,
Bordered with ugly rocks and shell.
Once, twice, thrice with all the energy I could pull,
I asked if they wanted a hand,
They turned and looked at a void space ahead,
Suddenly something within me rang a bell.

Reality hit me like a bolt from blue,
The kids lived in utter darkness, totally blind.

That’s when the girl turned around and said,
Don't the flowers smell nice?
I looked at the innocent joy on her face,
And at the withered colourless petals...
No words to answer, tears welled instead.
Realization hit colder than ice,
Tiny moments of happiness in the mad race,
Are always present under the sign of integrals;

Yet oblivious we just walk through,
In quest of something significant.
Only when you see people less fortunate,
does the importance dawn;
To relish every second from a melting chocolate fondue.
Else life will just be a remnant.
Their blindness didn't leave them in a sorry state,
In spite of the daily hardships undergone.

Here they were, having all the fun in the world,
With whatever they had and could find,
They were blessed with true inner sight.
Through their eyes, I finally could see,
Pages from my life unfurled,
With myself I really have been unkind.
Just wishing for more resulting in blight,
Groping in darkness, the one blind was me.

Now I sat with the unsuspecting kids,
Breathing in the fragrance of flowers and sea,
Enjoying the waves grazing my feet,
Thanking them for what they made me see.

A Simple Wish

A thought sparks in mind,
Take a pick for next life.
Many options for the perfect find,
Something to lessen others strife.

To be a delicate flower is my wish,
My simple desire is to live and give.
To be a Lily/daisy in memory to cherish.
Until uprooted from the earth to leave.

To bloom by the mountainside,
Admist the rumble of river flowing by,
Swaying in the arms of wind like a bride,
Spreading fragnance till the last sigh.

A day comes, someone arrives to pick,
In search of a perfect gift,
To make the significant others heart click,
And not have it miffed.

Even as i wither away,
My scent fills the air,
A souvenir for coming days,
Encompassed with tender love and care.

To be preserved in a book's page,
Even though the beauty has begun to wane,
Those special memories with time age,
A simple flower with no complain.

Innocent Plea From The Destitute

Ahead lay a broken wing
seperated from the blue.
Trying to spread its wing
Betwix fresh drops of due.
Feeble wil'st to cling
Flow of thoughts going askew
Awaiting for death's knell to ring
An angel' comes in view
Takes it under its wing
To a beautiful haven all new.
