A Rainy Thought

Filtering my thoughts in a colander,
Sitting in front of the porch,
On a drizzling late august evening,
Enjoying a clandestine affair,
A cup of coffee in hand,
Thoughts stirring in the Kew,
Confetti of feelings,
The warmth of autumn sun fading through the trees,
Shimmering pearls falling from my sky,
And I stretch out my hands,
Trying to gather them all,
Beads of pearl slip from my small hands,
But then I realize,
There are hands holding a cauldron,
Gathering them for me.
I look up at the sky,
Murmur thanks for all the caring eyes,
To be blessed with love and care.
Sans them life would be incomplete.
Being right next to me,
Even in the rain soaked night.
Strewing the coffee cup in my hand,
I smile as rains continue to batter,
Lights flickering away one by one,
I promise myself to be their lifeline.

Double Face

A shadow in the twilight,
A star shining in day,
A light so bright,
That it obscures your vision.
The reality remains a mystery,
Lost in myriad of shades,
Hiding behind plethora of drapes.
A look inside the Pandora’s Box,
Hypocrisy wears a sugary mask,
A shadowy beast hides in darkness,
Behold outside the box it’s a different face,
Inside, the world is a better place.
Beyond the boundary of my senses,
What does it take to have a mote of simplicity?
Why splash a false identity...
Wasting time to get noticed...
There is so much more than that which meets your eye,
There is more beyond the horizon
With the fake ness in smile,
A motive behind every single thought,
Too cold and selfish to be sought.
Its not hypocrisy but being worldly wise!
Seeing the truth through the prism,
Giving it a different shade.
Deception, manipulation hold the reigns,
Beginning right from the Garden of Eden,
The devil wore Prada,
And then peace had to end.
